Hi, folks.
I'm just letting you all know that I have opened up a second account here on DeviantART for adoptables. It's called Adopts-By-Ginger. I've been wanting to do this for a while, so I'm excited to get it up and running
I decided to keep them separate, so that I wouldn't spam my watchers here with adoptable stuff if they weren't interested. So if you like adoptable stuff, you can head over to my other account and watch me there also. If adoptables aren't your thing, that's fine, too. I will continue to post stuff here, like lineart and the designs I like so much I don't want to sell them
As usual, thanks to all of your for your support. You guys are awesome!

Getting Back on Track
I hope everyone is well. I have missed being on dA on a regular basis, and the community and feedback. More than that, I have missed creating art. Even my more recent pieces are things that I created late last year/beginning of this year for an art show at work. Until that art show, I had not drawn anything in ALMOST A WHOLE YEAR. That was shocking to me when I realized it. Art used to be such an integral part of my life, but the daily routine of work-chores-sleep sort of muscled it out of the picture.
I am trying very hard to get back into doing it on a regular basis. The sad part is, it has been so long since I've created with any r
Merry Belated Christmas and Happy Almost New Year!
Obviously, my timing is a bit off for both, but I hope you all had a fun and blessed holiday season, and I wish you the best in the upcoming year!
November Hiatus
I apologize for my long absence (though those of you who have watched me for a while know this isn't as unusual as it ought to be - you guys deserve a medal for putting up with me ). I have been working on the NaNoWriMo challenge since the beginning of this month, and it has been consuming the vast majority of my creativity.
For those of you who weren't aware, NaNoWriMo is short for "National Novel Writing Month" which takes place November of every year. The premise is simple: write 50,000 words of a story in 30 days. I have completed the challenge several times (though not always in November), and I already hit the halfway point - 25,00
Unusual Experiment
I am very right-handed, and always have been. However, for whatever reason, it has struck my fancy to try to develop the dexterity of my left hand as well. I've borrowed a book from the library (You Can Draw in 30 Days by Mark Kistler) and I plan to do each of the exercises in it with both my right AND my left hand, and see how they compare. This idea originated from the right-brain/left-brain theory; conceptually, tapping into my "less-used" left brain should give me access to perception and skills that I'm currently not using. While I've heard rumors that the right/left brain theory is no longer considered valid, I'm still curious what
